Break the tradition electroacoustical design principle of Hi-Vi D10G!
The Hi-Vi D series loudspeaker of huge successful, Established the leading position that science and technology at the electroacoustical field. After Hi-Vi transferred North America in 1993, Hi-Vi America electroacoustic development center developed the DG series loudspeaker of the new generation subsequently.
Light and extremely rigid cone made from Kevlar?paper composite Fatigue resistant foam surround Shielded, vented magnet system with oversized Neodymium magnet Long-throw symmetrically driving motor structure Extreme power handling 100 mm voice coil with black anodized aluminum former High density aluminum die-cast frame with multiple point mounting Spider with decompressed rear volume The D10G is a design wherein the voice coil is positioned over an undercut central pole piece with a large thermally stabilized Neodymium magnet at the bottom and high-energy ceramic magnet on the top. A specially shaped, CNC machined steel cup completes the magnetic structure from the outside, creating a shielded magnet system with symmetrical flux density distribution along the gap. The long-throw voice coil experiences symmetric driving force and a substantial decrease in inductance and back electromotive force modulations. The whole magnet structure is optimized using Finite Element Analysis. This approach results in a radical reduction of the distortion produced by conventional motor systems.
The cone is fabricated from a newly developed matrix of Kevlar and paper fibers. It has a shallow, high integrity structure, which is extremely rigid and dynamically stable. The large voice coil diameter allows more uniform cone excitation, thus improving phase and transient characteristics of the driver, resulting in clear and accurate reproduction. The cone is a beautiful light gold color.
The vented design, effective heat transfer to the die-cast frame and very large, high temperature rated voice coil provide a dramatic increase in power handling. Multiple point mounting virtually eliminates any structural resonances. The D10G is excellent as a woofer for audiophile quality speaker systems and control monitors. It can also be used as a high performance subwoofer.
